PCCA Launches a Pivotal New Era with Leadership Promotions for Its U.S. Business Unit

HOUSTON, March 20, 2025 – PCCA is embarking on a dynamic new chapter with a series of strategic leadership appointments announced today by Gus Bassani, PharmD, who becomes CEO of the U.S. business unit on April 1.

Bassani said the moves reflect PCCA’s commitment to advancing personalized medicine and supporting pharmacies in community and hospital settings worldwide. These executives are poised to play a vital role in driving innovation and growth for PCCA in the health care field, where pharmaceutical compounding is a critical component in patient treatments.

“The strength of our organization lies in our people,” Bassani said. “These leaders and our entire strategic management team embody our commitment to fulfilling our mission and delivering outstanding outcomes."

Leadership promotions on the PCCA USA executive team will also be in effect on April 1 and include:

Menia Costopoulos – Chief Revenue Officer

Menia Costopoulos – Chief Revenue Officer

  • Formerly vice president of sales and marketing, Menia will lead revenue-generating initiatives for the company while continuing to oversee sales, marketing and communications, and business solutions.
  • She previously worked with the PCCA Canada team as director of sales and marketing. With extensive experience building call centers, customer service teams and sales teams, she has implemented goal-oriented sales cultures and training programs for call centers and field representatives. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Concordia University in Montreal.
 
Daniel Banov, RPh, MS – Vice President of Research & Development

Daniel Banov, RPh, MS – Vice President of Research & Development

  • Formerly director of R&D, Daniel will continue overseeing the R&D and PCCA science teams while taking on many of the responsibilities Bassani previously managed as chief scientific officer.
  • Banov has worked extensively on novel skin-permeation enhancement techniques and holds 21 U.S.-granted patents, with others pending. Before PCCA, he served as director of Fórmula Médica Compounding Pharmacy in São Paulo and founded the Anti-Aging Society in Brazil. He earned his pharmacy degree from the College of Pharmaceutical Science of the University of Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, and his Master of Science from the College of Pharmaceutical Science of the University of São Paulo, Brazil.
 
Mike De Lisio – Vice President of North American Sales

Mike De Lisio – Vice President of North American Sales

  • Formerly senior director of North American sales, Mike will now provide strategic guidance and support to PCCA Canada management while continuing to lead sales, client care and recruiting teams. De Lisio and his teams will report to Costopoulos.
  • A former general manager of PCCA Canada, he has run major business initiatives that solidified Canada’s leadership in the compounding industry. He received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University in Montreal.
 
Matt Martin, PharmD, BCSCP – Vice President of Clinical Services

Matt Martin, PharmD, BCSCP – Vice President of Clinical Services

  • Formerly director of clinical services, Matt will now lead the clinical services, health systems, education and formulation development teams.
  • Joining PCCA in 2014 as a clinical compounding pharmacist, Martin became board-certified in sterile compounded preparations through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in 2020. Before PCCA, he worked in a compounding pharmacy for more than eight years, gaining extensive experience with both sterile and nonsterile preparations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Morehead State University and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy.
